Through the annual Tripartite Social Summit, the ETUC has an input into EU economic and social policy-making at the very highest level.
It uses its influence to press for measures to boost European domestic growth and to increase public investments in areas such as education, research, social housing and renewable energy.
This includes calling upon the European Central Bank (ECB) to enter into a constructive dialogue with the European Social Partners in order to achieve a genuine macro-economic policy mix.
